Metallica is coming to Boston.
The heavy metal heavies released their upcoming circuit schedule on their Web site Monday, and it boasts a Jan. 18 date at the TD Banknorth Garden.
Garden officials have yet to confirm the concert, and maybe for good rationality. The show comes on the eve of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which finds both the Bruins [team stats] (1 p.m., against the St. Louis Blues) and the Celtics [team stats] (8 p.m., against the Phoenix Suns) playing home games less than 24 hours after the metal mavens allegedly hit the stage.
